Overview
General information: The Manual Assembly Operator will complete tasks in an assigned production area.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parameter setting according to work order information
- Check production status within and in between each production sequence and take action in case of deviations
- Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
- Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
- Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
- Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Associates will be capable of performing complete preventative maintenance routines utilizing established checklists designed to return the equipment to the original state
- Follow established production and quality procedures
- Participate in the team’s daily start-up communications meeting, assign work, and establish job rotation
- Maintain personal OJT/IMT training documentation
- Ensure the team achieves daily 5S+1, Quality, Delivery, Kaizen, and Cost goals
- Employ various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, 8D, Cause and Effect, and Fishbone Diagrams, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action
- Participate in the team’s Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cell
Your
Qualifications:
- (2-5) years of service with Schaeffler
- Qualification Matrix
- Experience with Ersa and Intertek Solder Wave machinery
- Experience with BD Tronics RTV dispensers
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and 18 years of age
- Required to work an 8 hour work schedule
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to operate basic machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Good visual acuity
- Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without an employment visa or other sponsorship
