Overview

General information: The Manual Assembly Operator will complete tasks in an assigned production area.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parameter setting according to work order information
  • Check production status within and in between each production sequence and take action in case of deviations
  • Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
  • Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
  • Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
  • Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Associates will be capable of performing complete preventative maintenance routines utilizing established checklists designed to return the equipment to the original state
  • Follow established production and quality procedures
  • Participate in the team’s daily start-up communications meeting, assign work, and establish job rotation
  • Maintain personal OJT/IMT training documentation
  • Ensure the team achieves daily 5S+1, Quality, Delivery, Kaizen, and Cost goals
  • Employ various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, 8D, Cause and Effect, and Fishbone Diagrams, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action
  • Participate in the team’s Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cell

Your

Qualifications:

  • (2-5) years of service with Schaeffler
  • Qualification Matrix
  • Experience with Ersa and Intertek Solder Wave machinery
  • Experience with BD Tronics RTV dispensers
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and 18 years of age
  • Required to work an 8 hour work schedule
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to operate basic machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Good visual acuity
  • Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without an employment visa or other sponsorship
