The LVN Ambulatory provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients within a clinic setting, following organizational policies and therapeutic nursing processes. This role supports patient relations and promotes department standards in ambulatory care environments. Required qualifications include vocational nursing licensure, healthcare experience, and relevant certifications such as ACLS and BLS.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory setting in accordance with UHS policies and standards. Supports and promotes University Health values to ensure patient/guest relations. Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting. Maintains, facilitates and promotes department policies and standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Entry up to 2 yrs, experience in healthcare delivery as an LVN is required. ACLS certification may be required based on site location.
LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
