Overview
Job Title: RN Team Lead - Emergency Department (Part Time, 0.60 FTE, Night)
Peace Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Team Lead for the Emergency Department at Peace Health United General Medical Center in Sedro-Woolley. This is a part-time, night shift position with a salary range of $41.50 – $76.86 per hour, with hiring rate dependent on education, training, experience, and applicable collective bargaining agreement terms. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.
There may be more than one opening on this posting. Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.
The facility is a 25-bed hospital with a 10-bed Emergency Department, located in the Skagit Valley region.
Essential Functions- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participate in the development of and maintain hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention programs.
- Ensure all staff receive their scheduled meals and breaks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required:
Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing - Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Preferred:
Specialty certification
Experience
- Preferred:
Minimum of 1 year experience as a registered nurse
Credentials
- Required:
Registered Nurse in the state in which nurse will be practicing - Required:
Basic Life Support at time of hire - ENPC, PALS and TNCC required at date of hire or transfer
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles to meet patient needs (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and a patient/family-centered work environment (Required)
- Able to support and interpret medical center philosophy, policy and procedures (Required)
- Basic computer skills (Required)
Lifting
- Patient handling not greater than 35 lbs without assistive equipment
- Fine motor skills for medical equipment and procedures
- Push/Pull: frequently up to 45 lbs (e.g., medical carts)
- CPR performed with significant physical effort; frequency should be seldom or occasional
- Frequent movement with sitting; bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling
- Lifting non-patient items up to 20 lbs occasionally and 5 lbs frequently
Environmental Conditions
- Exposure to biohazards, body fluids, and airborne particles
- Ability to complete tasks in a noisy environment
Mental/Visual
- Vision and hearing within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted)
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
