We are looking for a talented and team-oriented Front Office Receptionist who is dedicated to helping people and changing people s lives through dentistry. We are seeking someone with outstanding customer service skills, a team-oriented focus, and a diligent work ethic. This person should be fully engaged in the healthcare environment and able to interact with clinicians while complying with governmental regulations.

Job Summary

The Front Office Receptionist is the main team member responsible for customer service and for coordinating a smooth and pleasant patient experience by fulfilling the duties below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Patient scheduling, registration, financial counseling, medical records, billing, collections, data entry, and all communications of the front office.
  • Providing excellent customer service and supporting efforts by other staff to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Make meaningful connections with each and every patient.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction, including troubleshooting complaints and working with management to develop process improvements to prevent recurrences.
  • Execute health information and patient organizational systems for the practice.
  • Insurance billing and claims processing. Our billing is outsourced, but we still require insurance verification.
  • Support business goals by utilizing schedules effectively and supporting the practice revenue objectives.
  • Keep track of and file important documents.
  • Comply with all relevant healthcare and dental regulations including HIPAA and WISHA requirements.
  • Follow and demonstrate commitment to Cedar Grove Dental policies, professional expectations and clinical service excellence.
  • Complete other support tasks that may not be listed above.
  • Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.
  • Have a good understanding of dental insurance including Delta Dental, Regence, and Humana, etc.
  • Be active in internal marketing and social media marketing of the practice.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of dental front office experience is required.
  • To fulfill the duties of this role, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Experience with Dentrix dental software is preferred.
Education and/or Experience
  • Knowledge of customer service and accounting processes.
  • Experience in a similar dental or medical position may substitute for education.

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • At least 1 year of dental front office experience required.
  • Customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in all aspects of billing.
  • Knowledge of regulations and practices related to insurance processing.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize electronic healthcare systems.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
  • Professional communication skills that extend to patients and their families, coworkers, dentists, hygienists, management, and all other individuals and agencies that come in contact with Cedar Grove Dental.
  • Ability to learn new systems and practices.
Pay

Negotiable based on experience. $21-28/hr.

Benefits

2/3 paid medical insurance, Dental benefit, Simple IRA after 1 year, up to 2-4 weeks of PTO depending on the production of the practice.
