We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to join our private security team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and the primary line of defense for our campus. You will be responsible for monitoring access through our guard shack and conducting regular foot patrols to ensure the safety and security of our personnel and property.

Reports To: Building & Grounds Manager

Work Location: 2001 Pro Energy Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301

• Staff the guard shack to greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and manage vehicle entry/exit logs.
• Monitor CCTV feeds and alarm systems from the station to identify suspicious activity.
• Conduct walk‑around inspections of the grounds, checking doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
• Respond immediately to alarms or reported emergencies and assist as needed.
• Maintain an accurate daily activity log and prepare detailed reports on any security breaches or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence, providing directions or assistance to visitors while enforcing company safety policies.

• Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar protective role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods and complete multiple foot patrols per shift in various weather conditions.
• Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with staff and the public.
• High level of professionalism and a clean criminal record.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work‑authorized visa.
• Selected candidate must be able to satisfactorily pass a background check and drug screen.

• A valid state security guard license (e.g., Guard Card) is preferred.

• This position requires alternating between a guard shack and outdoor patrols.
• Must be comfortable working independently, including during night and weekend shifts.
