Position SummaryThe Welder/Fabricator performs daily metal fabrication and structural welding, primarily on steel components. This role includes material preparation, welding, finishing, and quality inspection.
ScheduleMonday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Welding Capabilities- MIG (.035)
- Flux core (.045)
- TIG
- Push‑pull on aluminum (.035)
- 14 gauge to 1”
- 3/16” to ½” thickness
- 280–350‑amp machines
- Some truck frame welding

- Has strong structural welding experience
- Works well independently and in team environments
- Maintains a strong work ethic and safety mindset
- Is comfortable working in a steel fabrication shop environment
- Collaborate with plant manager, shop supervisor, drafters, customers, and team members
- Perform structural welding using modern welding techniques
- Select proper wire and filler materials for various steel alloys and aluminum
- Conduct finish grinding using manual and power tools
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication challenges
- Maintain high‑quality workmanship with minimal supervision
- Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices
- Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Shop environment with overhead heaters; temperatures vary with outdoor conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, vibration
- Moderate to loud noise levels
- Regular, reliable attendance is essential
- Regular standing and walking
- Frequent use of hands and arms
- Occasional squatting, bending, twisting, and prone positioning
- Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Close, distance, and color vision required
