Overview

A growing industrial company located in Sedalia, Missouri (west-central Missouri) is seeking a full-time, solo General Counsel. This is a rare opportunity for an attorney to lead the legal function and play a meaningful role in shaping the company’s continued growth and long-term success.

The General Counsel will be a trusted strategic partner to the business, advising on a wide range of commercial matters. This role also offers the potential for professional growth as the company evolves.

• Lead the legal function as General Counsel (in-house) and provide strategic legal guidance to support the company’s growth and operations.
• Advise on a wide range of commercial matters and partner with business leaders on risk management, contracts, compliance, and governance.
• Represent the company in legal matters as needed and coordinate with external counsel when appropriate.

• 4+ years of legal experience
• Substantial experience representing businesses in commercial matters
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing
• Outstanding professional references
