Overview
The EHR Clinical Systems Trainer is a key member of the organization who focuses on training employees to utilize their skills at the top of their licensure and/or degree. This position is responsible for all aspects of new-hire training related to electronic documentation and will work with all departments to identify continuing education needs. Management of ongoing requirements of the EHR application is critical, as is ensuring effective end-user support.
The EHR Clinical Systems Trainer will be responsible for master clinical applications and optimizing the applications for specific workflows. The role requires adaptability to change and demonstrates in-depth knowledge and skill in areas of healthcare applications, technology, and health information systems, evidenced by experience in providing classroom and/or on-site training.
The EHR Clinical Systems Trainer will be a key member of the Training Program and will collaborate directly with other training staff, Nurse Educator, Lead Dental Assistant, Lead LPN, Lead PSR, Dental Clinic Coordinator, and PH/QI Director.
Responsibilities• Lead new-hire training related to electronic documentation and EHR usage.
• Identify continuing education needs across departments and coordinate training programs.
• Manage ongoing requirements of the EHR application and provide effective end-user support.
• Maintain and optimize master clinical applications for specific workflows.
• Collaborate with the Training Program and cross-functional teams to ensure training alignment with clinical and organizational goals.
- Possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess licensed practical nurse license or medical assisting
- At least 3 years of direct experience with an Electronic Health Record platform
