Customs Specialist

Our client is an established global logistics partner (3PL) offering customized solutions for complex logistics challenges. They are actively hiring a full-time Customs Entry Writer on-site in Secaucus, NJ.

As a Customs Entry Writer you will work in a brokerage team of 7 people, under supervision of the Licensed CHB.

You will handle customs documentation, ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments, and manage compliance with import and export regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Apply correct HS codes if necessary
• Prepare entries in Cargo Wise and follow up with the import team.
• No billing necessary
• Maintaining communication with clients and customs authorities
• Assisting with any customs-related inquiries or issues.

• Specific knowledge in wearing apparel and food products clearances

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Customs brokerage department
• Experience with customs documentation, entry filing, and compliance with import/export regulations
• Strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in logistics platforms and relevant technologies; familiarity with Neolink is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in a fast-paced industry
• Knowledge of applicable government regulations and import/export compliance is beneficial
• Knowledge of Cargo Wise is preferred (but not essential) as the Company will train you if needed

The base salary is DOE + Medical Insurance + 401K
