The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for generating business and financial analysis to support the Professional Lab Services (PLS) business. This role involves creating business and financial models, preparing summary documentation and PowerPoint presentations, and developing strategies and tools to evaluate PLS opportunities. The analyst works independently and collaboratively to meet customer requirements and deadlines, and supports the Director of Customer Solutions in upselling current customers, expanding margins and executing contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Generate and manipulate data provided by internal and external customers, organizing into PLS operational and profitability analysis.
  • Interact with the Finance team to validate the business development model and key assumptions.
  • Collect data, organize and prepare financial models, collaborating with PLS Sales, Operations and Finance teams.
  • Prepare analysis for business and financial review with the PLS BD Director and broader management team as needed.
  • Perform on‑site due diligence alongside the PLS Operations team.
  • Continuously improve financial modeling templates under the guidance of the PLS BD Director and PLS Finance leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Customer Solutions to identify opportunities to upsell current customers with new PLS offerings and solutions.
  • Research current customer concerns in support and work with PLS and regional teams to drive resolution.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.

Required

Work Experience:

3‑5 years of experience in finance, sales/marketing, and the lab industry or a related healthcare field, with a focus on pricing strategies, market value establishment, customer satisfaction, and driving profitable growth.

Knowledge
  • Organizational awareness to gather information for research and analysis from multiple sources within the organization, identify key information owners, and develop communication channels.
  • Strong analytical background, including proficiency with spreadsheets and statistical methods for analyzing data.
Skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively to senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual integrity, and personal trustworthiness that build trust among cross‑functional directors.
  • Excellent persuasive written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Strong PC skills required.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and create scenario analyses of alternative outcomes to inform pricing decisions with limited information.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities for multiple customers.
  • Comfortable interacting confidently with all levels of employees, including senior management.
  • Team‑oriented yet able to work independently and drive projects to conclusion.
