Job Summary:
The Controller assists the VP of Finance through the recording and summarizing of all financial transitions through analysis, verification and reporting. Additionally, the position maintains oversight of all accounting and HR employees and functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Benefits.
It requires that one be a self‑starter, able to work as part of a team and willing to assist with all day‑to‑day operations inherent to a rapidly growing organization.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Work directly with executive management to report company‑wide financials
- Oversee and support all accounting functions and employees including senior accountants, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage weekly cash forecasts and approve check runs for multiple group companies
- Lead month‑end closings of multiple ledger entities
- Putting together, verifying and distributing monthly cost center reports to department managers
- Oversee some office support activities including event planning, health and wellness
- Maintain high energy, cooperative and positive attitude and great sense of humor
- Other tasks and projects as directed by management
- A bachelor's or master’s degree and at least ten years’ experience in a related role.
- Prior aviation industry experience a plus
- Strong communication, consultation, and relationship management skills
- Detail orientation with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
