This role is based in Longview, WA, and will begin as a contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role with JH Kelly.

Pay Range: $19–$20 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (overtime eligible).
- Accurately pull stock from inventory based on pick tickets, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected for order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in stock levels.
- Receive tools and equipment from job sites for return and verify contents.
- Transfer tools and equipment to/from job sites to/from the Tool Shop within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Receive deliveries from 3rd party vendors.
- Unload trucks using a forklift operation.
- Occasionally use hand and power tools to assemble light materials or equipment as part of order preparation or warehouse operations.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and relocating or restacking materials.
- Follow company safety procedures and protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs, which may include tasks and projects outside the warehouse.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in warehouse operations. Preferred:
Forklift Certification. Understanding of the company and OSHA safety rules and best practices. Familiarity with company equipment and materials. Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Required Skills:
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver items up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to read & interpret work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal & external customers.
- The ability to work at a steady pace and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical requirements for this role require frequent transitions between office and shop/warehouse settings. The individual performs repetitive tasks such as typing, using a mouse, and communicating by telephone. Candidates must lift, carry, and move items up to 40 lbs. frequently. The position involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling. Employees need the stamina for repetitive tasks and the dexterity to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
They must also be able to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary. Good hand-eye coordination and sufficient physical strength are essential. Employees must adhere to a specific dress code, including sturdy, closed-toe non-slip shoes, comfortable but fitted clothing, and long pants for safety and efficiency.
