Salary: $65,839 – $80,205 Annually
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking multiple Highway Maintenance Worker 2s to join the team out of Seattle in the Northwest Region. Under the direction of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3, this position is a member of the regional pavement marking and Incident Response Team (IRT). Operating a wide variety of highway equipment and tools, this position is responsible for maintenance of highway longline striping, thermoplastic, reflective pavement marking (RPM), and Incident Response during off season period, to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and commerce.
This position performs a variety of skilled maintenance tasks and may occasionally lead a crew in the absence of a Highway Maintenance Worker
3. This position is critical in reducing congestion by removing incidents as quickly and safely as possible to restore the state highway transportation system to its maximum operational capacity. The IRT members are the WSDOT's first line personnel responding to daily emergencies. This position is critical in fostering a respectful and healthy work environment with focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
