Hazmat Driver Class A/B (Night Shift)
Christensen, Inc. is seeking a qualified Fuel Delivery Driver to operate out of Seattle, Washington. The role includes a potential sign‑on bonus of up to $7,500 (depending on driver experience) and responsibility for timely, accurate deliveries of fuel to client facilities while adhering to State and Federal regulations and company safety standards. This is a safety‑sensitive, full‑time position.
Responsibilities- Adhere to delivery schedules set by dispatch.
- Perform daily Pre‑Trip and Post‑Trip truck inspections and report mechanical issues.
- Complete physical dip of fuel tanks at the start and end of each delivery to verify inventory and safety levels.
- Maintain accurate delivery and purchase details in the daily log sheet.
- Communicate with management and dispatch about client issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain client relationships and provide sales leads to the sales force as applicable.
- Report spills, incidents, and major mechanical concerns to the Operations Manager.
- Return daily log sheet and delivery receipts upon completion of each shift.
- Support internal customers and teams with troubleshooting.
- Live core values and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Valid Class A or B driver’s license with tanker, combination, and hazmat endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years’ commercial driving experience (preferred but not required).
- Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills for receipts and records.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety systems, DOT regulations, hours of service, and inspection/maintenance requirements.
- Availability for irregular shifts, around‑the‑clock trips, and night‑shift work.
- Meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
- Pass a drug test and, if applicable, an alcohol test.
- Exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Must talk and hear regularly.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
- Able to lift or move items over 50 pounds.
- Requires good vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
