** Our Fitness Specialist****:*** ### Assesses and evaluates senior residents’ needs for exercise and fitness.  Works with residents individually and in groups.  Plans individual fitness programs for participating residents;* ### Supervises or presents exercise programs that may include exercises in the pool;* ### Assists team members with orientation to Fitness Center, procedures, and policies;* ### Produces promotional materials, newsletters, flyers, etc.

as required;* ### Inspects, cleans and maintains equipment;* ### Maintains records of residents’ progress;* ### Assist with collecting data and reports for fitness activities as required* ### Provides in-service trainings as required;* ### Works in collaboration with other professionals to provide appropriate assistance to residents;* ### Performs administrative functions for the department;* ### Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility;
* ### Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities.### ###
** What you need to succeed!*** ### Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience (3 or more years of fitness related experience* ### National Fitness Certification required (ACSM preferred, but not required.* ### Experience in prescribing exercise to special populations preferred;* ### Must be able to demonstrate proper uses of the exercise equipment;###

** Physical Requirements include:*** ### Must be able to physically assist in safe exercise and the safe operation of the equipment.* ### Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs.
