Amazon Pinpoint is recruiting a Software Development Engineer who will be the technical leader responsible for helping drive messaging products including email and text messages. You will work with customers and other technology leaders at Amazon to translate strategic business needs into features and projects, and then work with your team to deliver those features and projects more quickly than many other people may think is possible.

Successful candidates will be equally adept at driving a design review for a new distributed system as well as delivering a talk in front of hundreds of technology peers at AWS re:

Invent.

This hands-on position requires broad engineering competence and in-depth technical knowledge of service engineering, as well as demonstrated experience successfully planning, organizing, and conducting software development projects in a dynamic environment. As the Software Development Engineer, you will engage in the following key responsibilities:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
