We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Content Ranking Backend team at Snap!

What you’ll do:

* Manage and mentor a team of engineers working on the feed recommendation user-facing service foundation
* Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to alter the tech debt accumulated in content recommendation services, as well as decoupling ranking and product development
* Bring Snap’s content recommendation systems to surpass industry north stars
* Collaborate with broader core and ML infra teams to build a strategic roadmap and solid adoption sequence with limited resources across the board
* Hire, grow, and retain high-performing team members

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Background in building high availability and mission-critical systems
* Experience leading an engineering team
* Ability leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives
* Experience driving highly cross-functional efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience
* 8+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or a Master’s degree in a technical field + 7+ years of post-grad software development experience; or a PhD in a related technical field + 4+ years of post-grad software development experience
* 1+ years of experience as a manager for an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with ops-heavy systems/products
* Experience with user-facing systems, especially in Search, Ads, Recommendation domains
