Director of Software Development & Integration Triton Technical
• Seattle, WA, US

Job Description Why Join Triton Technical?

At Triton Technical, we don't just build software—we engineer technology ecosystems that power some of the world's most sophisticated superyachts. Our work sits at the intersection of software, systems integration, and bespoke client experience in an environment where reliability, elegance, and performance are non‑negotiable.

Joining Triton means shaping technology that operates at the highest standard, supporting elite clients, and working alongside deeply experienced engineers, designers, and integrators who take pride in craft. This is a chance to lead meaningful work in a niche where quality truly matters.

What's in It for You

High‑Impact Leadership: Lead and evolve Triton's software development function in a role with real influence over technology strategy, delivery standards, and team culture.

Interesting, Non‑Commodity Work: Design and integrate software systems that support complex, real‑world environments—far from cookie‑cutter SaaS or feature‑factory development.

Autonomy & Trust: You'll be trusted to set direction, define priorities, and build sustainable processes—without micromanagement.

Flexible Work Model: This role can be hybrid or fully remote, depending on location and experience.

Competitive Benefits:

  • 20 days PTO + 8 paid holidays
  • 100% company‑covered medical, dental, and vision (including dependents)
  • 401(k)
  • Cell phone & internet reimbursement
Role Overview

This is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding Triton's software development and integration capabilities—people, process, and technology.

The role balances:

  • Leadership & team development (~50%)
  • Hands‑on software oversight and contribution (~30%)
  • Technical depth and architectural judgment (~20%)

You will lead the team that designs, builds, integrates, deploys, and maintains Triton's internal and client‑facing software systems, ensuring they align with real operational needs and long‑term business objectives.

What You'll Do Lead & Scale the Team
  • Set a clear vision for Triton's software development and integration function.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high‑performing, multidisciplinary team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Own performance management, coaching, and professional development.
Own the Software Lifecycle
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle—from early requirements through deployment and long‑term support.
  • Establish pragmatic development standards for quality, security, documentation, and testing.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and fit for real‑world use.
Drive Integration Strategy
  • Define and guide how Triton's systems integrate across platforms, vendors, and environments.
  • Partner with engineering, project management, and operations to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Translate client and business requirements into clear technical direction.
Align Technology to the Business
  • Partner with executive leadership to align software initiatives with company goals.
  • Evaluate ROI, risk, and impact of technical decisions.
  • Report progress, performance, and outcomes using clear metrics and KPIs.
Collaborate Across the Organization
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Accounting, Logistics, and Client Services.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Represent the software function with confidence and credibility.
What We're Looking For

This role is well‑suited for someone who has grown beyond being "just" a senior developer and now thrives at the intersection of leadership, systems thinking, and execution.

Experience & Background
  • 8+ years leading software development teams and delivering complex systems.
  • Deep experience owning the full SDLC in production environments.
  • Strong technical foundation across modern software, infrastructure, and integration patterns.
  • Experience working in environments where reliability and real‑world constraints matter.
Technical Orientation (Not a Checklist)

You don't need to have used every tool we touch—but you should be comfortable navigating modern stacks, integration frameworks, and infrastructure‑backed systems. Experience with APIs, databases, Linux‑based environments, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD practices is important. Also desired is experience with Crestron and OMNIYON.

Leadership & Communication
  • Able to translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes.
  • Comfortable leading diverse, distributed, and multicultural teams.
  • Strategic thinker who can zoom out without losing attention to detail.
  • Calm, empathetic communicator—especially when things get complex.
