We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join Snap Inc.What you’ll do
- Build state-of-the-art mobile and desktop web software applications and/or systems
- Follow high-quality design and implementation practices
- Implement features and user interfaces to optimize performance of user-facing products
- Contribute to Snap’s engineering culture by working on shared libraries and systems
- Log and analyze operational and engagement metrics
- Highly proficient in JavaScript (and/or Type Script), HTML, and CSS
- Highly proficient in Java, Golang, Node.js, and/or Python
- Experience developing front-end software using JavaScript UI frameworks (i.e. React, Angular, Vue)
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming principles
- Understanding of domain-driven design principles
- Solid knowledge of unit testing
- Experience in front-end design and/or web application development
- Writing code for User Interface components
- Experience optimizing JavaScript performance and browser layout rendering
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience
- 2+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or Master’s degree in a technical field + 1+ year of post-grad software development experience; or PhD in a relevant technical field
- Experience with full-stack web development
- MS degree in a technical field
- Experience with WebGL, Canvas, Web Assembly, Service workers, or other advanced front-end technology
- Experience with GraphQL
- Experience with large-scale microservices and distributed systems
- Experience with No
SQL solutions, Memcache/Redis, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services - Ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
- Passion for building a rich and innovative user experience

CompensationIn the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
- Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $157,000-$235,000 annually
- Zone B: $149,000-$223,000 annually
- Zone C: $133,000-$200,000 annually
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
