At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

This role supports the software, systems, and controls infrastructure that powers Blue Origin’s aerospace initiatives. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, engineers, and technicians, you will share in the team’s impact on building and optimizing the automated platforms, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and Dev Ops tooling that enable our engineering teams to innovate at scale.

You will collaborate closely with development teams across all of the Autonomous Ground and Flight Systems. Every day, you will innovate to build the frameworks, automation, and infrastructure needed to support our software engineering platforms and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.

For this specific role, your day-to-day activities will focus on designing and implementing Dev Ops solutions that improve team efficiency, managing cloud infrastructure, and supporting the automation frameworks that enable rapid software delivery. You will collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and build robust CI/CD pipelines, manage API deployments, and optimize infrastructure performance. As a member of the broader technical leadership, you will have input into architecture decisions, implement and optimize critical systems, and help ensure reliability and performance at scale.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to operational excellence to positively impact how our engineering teams deliver software. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure

  • Manage cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud deployments

  • Deploy, manage, and integrate REST API applications and services

  • Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management

  • Improve operational efficiency and reduce software delivery cycle times

  • Support API integration across multiple engineering teams and platforms

  • Contribute to software factory improvements and Dev Ops tooling

  • Mentor peers on infrastructure best practices and automation techniques

Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in engineering, computer science, or related field

  • 1+ years of professional Dev Ops or infrastructure engineering experience

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management

  • Familiarity with Linux and other Unix-style operating systems

  • Experience with higher-level programming languages such as Python, Bash, Go

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices

  • Experience deploying, managing, and integrating REST APIs

  • Experience using AI development tools and assistants (Claude Code, Roo Code, or equivalent)

  • Experience building, integrating, and deploying AI Agents

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building and deploying REST API applications

  • Experience using AI software development frameworks (Lang Chain, Google ADK, or equivalent)

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation)

  • Background in aerospace software development

  • Experience with hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure

  • Knowledge of real-time control systems, optimization, or planning concepts
