As a Senior Software Development Engineer within the Product organization, you will be responsible for delivering the next suite of backend services that power the Pitch Book platform. You will be essential in helping to build exceptional solutions relied upon and used by thousands of Pitch Book customers every day and working with Pitch Book professionals around the world with the collective goal of delighting our customers and growing our business.

The team will rely on your complete knowledge and full understanding of the team's business domain to help shape principles and practices. With your strong analytical skills, you'll be able to break down abstract and complex problems into smaller problems. You will be expected to devise solutions based on limited information and precedent to find creative ways to tackle challenges. It is essential that you will be able to interpret, assess, and resolve a wide range of issues and be able to select the right course of action.

As a Senior Engineer, you will collaborate with and influence diverse stakeholders, adapting your communication to drive optimal solutions for complex problems. You will provide technical mentorship to peers and actively contribute to a culture of growth, empathy, and teamwork. We are looking for an adaptable, customer-focused leader who is open to feedback and strives for excellence.

• Design, develop, and maintain components of Pitch Book's front‑end and backend services. Hands‑on development will be an integral part of the responsibilities
• Implement well‑designed, testable, and efficient code that meets product requirements, coding standards, performance, scalability, reliability, and the organization's goals and principles
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and other internal stakeholders in an Agile environment
• Provide technical guidance and perform code reviews for team members
• Design and deliver on small projects end‑to‑end with little to no guidance
• Provide support to applications in production in terms of deployment, troubleshooting, and incident management
• Apply AI automation to improve development, testing, and delivery efficiency
• Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
• Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
