Senior Java Engineer (with Go experience)

Join Grid Dynamics as a Senior Java Engineer with Go experience. You will be responsible for backend development of distributed platforms for one of the largest world‑leading retailers.

• Design and implement feature improvements to back‑end software systems.
• Review Product Requirements Documents and independently produce software designs, database schema changes, and implementation schedules.
• Write software changes and tests in Java meeting professional standards.
• Write software changes and tests in Go meeting professional standards.

• 5 years professional experience in a full‑time software engineering role.
• 3 years experience on large‑scale cloud services (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Google private cloud).
• Experience with database schema modification (MySQL or Google Spanner).
• 3 years experience using Java and Go.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Knowledge of Google internal tools (Piper, TAP, Boq).
• Experience with Google internal back‑ends.
• Hands‑on experience with synthetic calls, RPC calls, server‑to‑server communication, reliability/scalability.
• Ability to create clear developer documentation.
• Experience with Gemini function calling, Vertex AI Studio, and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with rich messaging APIs (RBM, Whats App Business, Apple Business Messages, etc.).
