Job Summary
The Community Corrections Division is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Caseworker position. Caseworkers engage with a diverse group of adult offenders who may face various health, mental health, alcohol, and substance abuse challenges. We are looking for candidates with experience working with at-risk adults in behavioral health organizations, correctional facilities, or security-focused environments, including conducting assessments, developing programs, and providing individual and group counseling related to behavior and program orientations.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine programming level and eligibility, including criminal history and motivation for change.
- Evaluate offenders to determine risk level and place applicants in Electric Home Detention (EHD) or Community Center for Alternative Programs (CCAP).
- Screen referrals for program eligibility.
- Provide daily one‑on‑one and group counseling services addressing behavior, finances, stress management, and program orientation.
- Conduct field monitoring with random visits to employment/training sites to ensure compliance; prepare release schedules.
- Manage daily case files and maintain contracts with clients, attorneys, courts, victims, and agencies; provide counseling, confront behavior, report violations, and remove non‑compliant participants.
- Manage case load according to behavioral modification plans and assess daily activities for compliance.
- Evaluate treatment needs, develop treatment plans, and ensure compliance with program rules and court orders.
- Facilitate and monitor involvement with social service providers.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in criminal justice, social or behavioral sciences, or a high school diploma/G.E.D. with five years of direct experience in intake interviews, screening, case management, and/or client assessments.
- Understanding of evidence‑based practices for working with offenders.
- Experience using computers and electronic database programs for inquiries and records management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relational database use in daily tasks.
- Experience conducting Risk Need Assessments.
- Experience facilitating cognitive behavioral groups.
- Training in Motivational Interviewing.
- Experience in a behavioral health organization or corrections field.
- One year of full‑time experience working with at‑risk adults in a correctional or security‑oriented environment.
- Three to five years of professional, full‑time work experience identifying, interviewing, and assessing individuals with behavior, mental health, drug, and/or alcohol-related issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience in a therapeutic community.
- Completed Motivational Interviewing coding with a recognized trainer.

Work Schedule40‑hour work week; overtime eligible. Must be available for all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
