Summary
The King County Youth Diversion and Intervention (KCYDI) Contracts Monitor will be a member of the Children, Youth, and Young Adults Division’s Youth Diversion and Intervention Team (which includes a Program Manager, Referral Manager, School Liaison and Evaluator). The position will work closely with the community partners contracted to provide KCYDI services to youth and community members who experienced harm who are referred from the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
This position requires a highly organized team member who will help ensure contracts, amendments, and invoices are executed in a timely manner.
This position will also provide support and technical assistance for contracted partners and monitor for compliance with King County standards and intended program outcomes.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must at a minimum, demonstrate the knowledge, skill, and ability to:
- Be an active team member participating in the planning and development for the CYYAD Youth Diversion and Intervention Program.
- Execute contracts and contract amendments with the support of the Program Manager, CYYAD Team and Contracts and Procurement Team. This may include negotiating scopes of work, helping partners to provide needed documentation for contract execution (e.g., proof of insurance), and helping to ensure contracts are executed in a timely fashion.
- Complete desktop reviews for contracted agencies to ensure compliance with DCHS policies and the contract’s specific outcomes/requirements.
- Complete site reviews/monitoring visits and work with the team to ensure that either annual or bi‑annual monitoring is completed.
- Work with the fiscal team to monitor partners for fiscal and program compliance with County policies.
- Process invoices and required reports and ensure that partners meet their contracted outcomes.
- Provide technical assistance and customer service to contracted community‑based organizations as needed and ensure providers are submitting timely invoices and meeting their reporting requirements.
- Support partnerships with the other programs for young people in King County and work to coordinate efforts in order to maximize resources and results.
- Assist the Program Manager with Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Work with CYYAD evaluation team to ensure contractors are submitting data, meeting outcomes, and data is available to interested parties.
- Participate in and support the implementation of learning circles and convenings.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have recent experience with contract management and/or monitoring with community‑based organizations.
- Are experienced negotiating terms of contracts.
- Understand and have experience developing or participating in Requests for Proposals.
- Are experienced in developing, providing and/or overseeing programs serving youth and/or young adults (ages 12‑24 years).
