The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical components within semi-automated parking systems. This role ensures reliable system performance, timely response to service calls, and adherence to safety and quality standards across all assigned sites.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting abilities, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and excellent communication skills. This position requires working collaboratively with subcontractors on active construction sites and interacting directly with residents and property representatives. A friendly, professional demeanor and a proactive approach to real-time problem solving are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand all elements of semi and fully-automated parking systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair, install parking system components
  • Implement tests to ensure all components are working correctly
  • Educating clients on how to use and maintain parking system
  • Perform maintenance and provide customer support
  • Diagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair them
  • Order parts needed for repairs if needed
  • Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed
  • Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers
  • On call:
    The Field Service Technician will respond to user/building management requests for service ASAP
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience servicing mechanical and/or electrical equipment
  • Automobile, motorcycle, or aviation mechanic experience or similar is valid
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
  • Working knowledge of the tools and equipment needed for the job
  • Experience with basic mechanical hand tools, multimeter, etc.
  • Ability to work independently without much supervision
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
