Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a Journeyman O6 Electrician to join our growing team. As a Journeyman, you will be involved in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of basic electronic theory and Building Electrical/Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Installs, wires, and services BMS and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of installations.
• Repairs and maintains low voltage systems (under 120V).
• Assists in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.
• Assists with site commissioning, point-to-point verifications, troubleshooting, and startup of a variety of Building Automation Systems.
• Appropriately handles and is familiar with all testing and electrical repair tools and equipment.
• Performs tasks with minimum supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Adheres to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
• Understands fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings.
• Works with and understands HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s license.
• Fluent in English – both written and oral.
• The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.
• Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights.
• Good knowledge of the electrical trade and the Washington State Electrical Code.
• Adept at installing conduit and pulling wire.

The wage would be $41.86 per hour, with 80hrs of vacation, 40 hours of PTO, and 40 hours of stat holidays.
