Facilities Technician – Service, Projects & Preventative Maintenance
Location: Seattle, WA (travel to cafés across the Seattle area required)
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: $32–$34/hour (hourly)

The RoleWe’re looking for a hands-on Facilities Technician to support day-to-day service and repairs while also managing facilities projects and owning our preventative maintenance (PM) program. This role balances field work with planning, coordination, and documentation to ensure our cafés and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
What You’ll DoService, Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across company facilities and cafés.
Maintain building systems and finishes, including flooring, walls, painting, lighting, ceilings, tile, doors, windows, and general carpentry.
Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of café and production equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, Turbo Chef ovens, forklifts, and related systems.
Support HVAC maintenance and basic troubleshooting; coordinate advanced service as needed.
Perform electrical and plumbing installations and repairs within scope and certification.
Move furniture, equipment, and materials; maintain clean and safe work areas.
Preventative Maintenance (PM)
Develop, execute, and continuously improve preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.
Conduct inspections, testing, and follow-through to prevent downtime and recurring issues.
Document work performed, PM completion, and recommendations for future improvements.
Facilities Projects & Vendor Management
Plan and manage facilities projects from scope definition through completion (timelines, budgets, materials).
Coordinate and oversee vendors and contractors; ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
Obtain quotes, manage work orders, and verify completed work.
Communicate project status and risks clearly to internal stakeholders.
General Responsibilities
Travel to multiple locations (vehicle required).
Follow safety standards, codes, and company policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
2–4 years of hands-on facilities or maintenance experience.
Demonstrated experience with project coordination and vendor management.
Strong general skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and flooring.
Working knowledge of HVAC systems and commercial kitchen/café equipment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable documenting work.
Computer literate; able to use work order and basic productivity systems.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
