As a Security Officer - Part-Time Neighborhood Patrol in Seattle, WA

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism.
You will support residents and visitors through clear communication, strong customer service, and accurate reporting using a computer and/or tablet. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor entry in accordance with site-specific policies, directing individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, noise complaints, disturbances, and medical situations, and request public emergency services when appropriate.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and hazardous conditions, and communicate timely updates to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership per post orders.
- Complete routine patrol documentation, incident reports, and shift activity logs with accurate details and clear descriptions.
- Support residential amenities and community areas by performing rounds, checking doors and gates, and assisting with closing and opening procedures as directed by site-specific policies.
- Provide security-related presence during move-ins and move-outs, deliveries, and other high-traffic periods to support orderly access and resident service.
- Assist with parking and traffic flow observations, including reporting improperly parked vehicles and coordinating with property staff per policy.
- Use communication equipment, access control systems, and other site tools as assigned, and participate in required briefings and training.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
