Student Assistant - Post Liver Transplant

Job Description

UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Student Assistant to join our Transplant team part-time - 10 to 19.5 hours per week during school year; up to full time during summer quarter. Individuals will perform general office functions; enter data into the records management software; update various logs, spreadsheets, and databases to track office activity/patient interactions; monitor and transcribe voicemails;

assist with the creation and update of record series and the UW Medicine Records Retention Schedule; perform special projects and other tasks as assigned.

• Enter lab data into Epic and other Electronic Medical Records/medical databases
• Contact patients to follow-up on testing and remind them of appointments
• Retrieve outside labs and studies from other facilities and labs
• Assemble packets
• Scan records into the EMR
• Other work as assigned

• Current student at University of Washington
• The student must be available to work during breaks between quarters
• Summer part-time or full-time availability also desired but not required
• Desired: excellent computer skills, attention to detail/accuracy, accountability and professionalism, pre-med or nursing student

To be employed as a student, the student must meet the following minimum enrollment requirements (not including correspondence credits):

• Undergraduate students - 6 credits
• Graduate and professional students - 4 credits
• Ph.D. candidates working on dissertations - 2 credits
• Be approved for “On Leave” status
• Student employees are limited to working 19.5 hours per week when classes are in session.
• Breaks or when "on leave." A student can work as a student assistant for one quarter while on leave.

Students may be considered "on leave" as follows:

• Undergraduates - For one quarter immediately following a quarter in which the student was enrolled for at least 6 academic credits (this includes summer quarter).
• Graduate Students - When the student has applied for and been granted such status by the Dean of the Graduate School. Summer Quarter “On Leave” status is automatic for all graduate students who were registered or officially on leave the prior Spring Quarter.
• Professional Students - When the student has applied for and been granted such status by the dean of the respective professional school.

Pay Range Minimum: $20.76 hourly

Pay Range Maximum: $20.76 hourly
