The Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center (IIRC) of Fred Hutch is seeking a candidate with a lab‑based program focused on tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy with a strong vision/path toward clinical translation. Candidates of all academic ranks—Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor—with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, or equivalent—are encouraged to apply.
The IIRC is a multi‑disciplinary center that brings together 83 faculty members in basic, translational, and clinical research to advance immunotherapy for disease. We also encompass clinical programs to deliver cell and gene therapies as well as first‑in‑human immunotherapeutics, positioning the center at the forefront of translating laboratory discoveries into the clinic.
The successful candidate will have expertise in cancer immunology and be engaged in laboratory‑based research that could enable next‑generation therapies, such as cellular therapies, immune checkpoints, tumor microenvironment studies, and non‑viral gene editing. The selected individual will foster an environment of collaboration and productivity in cancer immunotherapy, and candidates who demonstrate a track record of peer‑reviewed publications and success in obtaining extramural funding will be prioritized.
