Position SummaryThe Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing territory performance, and expanding CRAFT’s presence across WA. This role is highly field-focused, with the majority of time spent meeting with beverage brands, co-packers, and industry partners. The ASM will manage both new business development and account growth while executing against company sales strategy developed in partnership with the Sales Director.
This role requires strong prospecting skills, financial acumen, and disciplined pipeline management.
- Develop and execute a territory growth plan aligned with company revenue targets
- Identify and secure new beverage brand customers
- Manage and grow existing account relationships
- Conduct in-person meetings across assigned territory (75%+ time in market)
- Represent CRAFT at trade shows and industry events
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management within CRM
- Accurately forecast territory revenue
- Apply trade math and financial analysis to proposals and pricing
- Negotiate commercial terms with customers
- Conduct proactive cold outreach and prospecting
- Partner with Sales Director on territory strategy
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to ensure smooth execution
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights
- 3–5 years of sales experience within CPG (beverage preferred)
- Existing network within the beverage industry strongly preferred
- Understanding of trade math, margin, and pricing fundamentals
- Experience using CRM, ERP, and sales reporting systems
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Comfortable with cold calling and outbound prospecting
- Ability to travel extensively within territory (75%+)
- Reliable vehicle and clean driving record
- Experience calling on emerging and growth-stage beverage brands
- Base Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year (DOE)
