SummaryThe External Wholesaler, along with their internal team member, will support and grow Potomac’s tactical investment strategies and mutual fund business with financial advisors in the Independent Broker Dealer and RIA channel. We’re hiring for this position in our Northwest Region (WA, OR, , MT, WY, AK, & N. CA).
What You’ll Do- Represent Potomac and distribute all Potomac products and services within the assigned territory.
- Travel within the territory to conduct 1:1 and group face‑to‑face meetings and presentations.
- Partner with an internal wholesaler to develop a business plan and manage the territory to meet and exceed regional sales goals and objectives.
- Identify advisor needs through a consultative sales process and provide tailored investment solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners (e.g., marketing, senior leaders, field leaders).
- Manage administrative responsibilities according to company policies including travel and expenses, CRM updates, calendar and schedules, conference call participation, email retention, continuing education, and other requirements.
- Driven and detail‑oriented wholesaler, with a hunter mentality who has a deep understanding of the markets, products and broker‑dealer landscape and has a passion for sales.
- Dependable, coachable, and team‑oriented problem solver, who understands the opportunity, and is willing to work hard with a “can do” attitude willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- A strategic thinker who sees the big picture but never misses the small stuff.
- Must have: SIE, Series 7, and either 63 & 65 or 66.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an external wholesaler selling mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs or VAs, or 3 years of experience as a top internal wholesaler with existing relationships in the assigned territory.
- Demonstrated ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations.
- Self‑driven and resourceful and able to manage territory budget and operate autonomously.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Have established relationships within the assigned territory.
- Drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing advisors. Influence advisor choices within a consultative sales process.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments, to ensure that Potomac stays head of the curve.
- Comply with legal and compliance regulations at all times.

The pay range for this role is: 85, USD per year (Remote)
