The Oncology/Nuclear Medicine Account Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a business plan for their assigned territory. Primary responsibilities will include driving sales of approved products, developing long‑term business relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other important decision makers in hospitals, cancer centers and physician offices, educating customers on Curium products, executing Marketing plans and establishing contracts with accounts.
The Oncology/Nuclear Medicine Account Manager will collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Medical Affairs, Legal and other stakeholders to ensure territory goals are aligned and achieved. This position will also require participation in local, regional or national medical meetings (in the areas of Oncology, Gastroenterology, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and others) as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager.
The Account Manager will work remotely within the Seattle Metro market.
Essential Functions- Successfully manage the selling process in all assigned call points (which may include Physicians, Nurses, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Radiation Safety Officers, Pharmacists, Department Managers, Procurement, Reimbursement Specialists, etc.).
- Successfully advocate for new Curium product additions to hospital formulary committees within assigned institutions.
- Meet or exceed Sales targets for all products within an assigned territory.
- Develop and execute growth‑centered business plans.
- Develop and implement plans to maintain and protect market share in assigned territory.
- Manage communications to ensure territory success and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize all available resources in an efficient, cost effective manner to optimize the Sales process (Marketing programs, tools, personnel, clinical support, training).
- Educate customers on product features, benefits and applications within guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with neuroendocrine tumor (NETs) networks, KOLs and advocacy groups.
- Effectively pull through managed care opportunities to drive sales.
- Manage expense budget for assigned territory.
- Adhere to all company financial, administrative and ethical guidelines.
- Travel beyond territory boundaries to assist with Sales and customer education efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).
- Bachelor Degree (preferably in Life Sciences or a business‑related discipline), advanced degree of MBA preferred.
- Three or more years of Sales experience in hospital, oncology and/or specialized pharmaceutical areas.
- Strong knowledge of oncology and knowledge of NETs products is preferred.
- Clinical experience and/or experience with nuclear medicine is a plus.
- Track record of proven sales success in consecutive years.
- Thorough understanding of selling, negotiation and customer service skills.
- Proven success selling in a managed care environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and manage financial solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong computer expertise and business application preferred.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Travel as required to support the customer base and business goals.
This is a field based Sales/Account Management position requiring frequent travel, including some weekends, within an assigned territory.
