This role will be responsible for selling dental rotary and endodontic instruments directly to dental professionals. The District Manager (DM) will manage an assigned territory, identify sales opportunities, create and execute sales strategies and plans. The DM will coordinate travel with specialty sales personnel, and work with dental schools, group practices, and government facilities in conjunction with national account managers.
Responsibilities- Attain/exceed budgeted sales goals while adhering to an annual expense budget.
- Develop and monitor a sales business plan for the territory, using data to build a customer segmentation plan and a productive sales call plan.
- Co‑travel with specialty reps, regional managers and occasionally corporate managers.
- Possess a high level of product knowledge for all Komet products.
- Coordinate, set‑up, and host trade shows, exhibits, seminars, and clinical meetings. Attend key regional state meetings annually as directed by manager.
- Coordinate and conduct sales meetings and product training sessions with dental schools, government facilities, and internal Komet teams.
- Track customer visits within the CRM and maintain accurate, comprehensive information on all customers, key decision‑makers, and large accounts.
- Assure a positive employee relations environment by consistently practicing the company’s management principles, ethical standards, policies, and programs.
- Coordinate territory needs with internal sales representatives.
- Keep abreast of current trends and practices and report on them.
- Collaborate on marketing programs with Sales and Marketing Managers, providing accurate tracking, reporting, and follow‑up.
- Coordinate, as needed, significant product returns and complaints with customer service.
- Assume other responsibilities and activities as needed.
- Undergraduate degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of successful sales experience. Product/Market dental knowledge is desired but not required.
- The DM must be able to travel overnight up to 60% of the month and co‑travel for up to four successive days.
- Computer skills needed with working knowledge of Microsoft products and comfort using new technology platforms, like CRM or web‑based training tools.
- The DM must be able to drive a car and possess a valid driver’s license.

Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some weekend work. The employee may be asked to sit, climb, or balance, and to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
