Job Summary

LFS is seeking a Retail Department Lead to play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations within a marine-focused retail environment. This position supports store leadership by driving exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards in merchandising, inventory accuracy, and team coordination. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment that serves boating, fishing, and marine‑lifestyle customers.

• Support opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Train, coach, and guide team members on product knowledge, customer service, and operations tasks.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Lead by example in delivering high-quality customer experience.
• Demonstrated ability to multi‑task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and elevate concerns when needed.
• Support loss prevention efforts through proper handling of high‑value products.
• Provide sales guidance to customers; assist them in making the best choice.
• Uphold the store’s clean, organized, and welcoming appearance, merchandise products, maintain stock levels, highlight new products and source new products.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills; self‑motivated.
• Available to work all shifts including weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the store.
• Available to travel and work industry trade shows in the Pacific Northwest

• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Pay for this position is: $23 to $24 DOE.

2+ years’ experience in retail operations; leadership or key‑holder experience preferred.

Knowledge of marine products, boating equipment, or outdoor recreation.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift/move objects up to ten pounds, frequently up to twenty‑five pounds, occasionally up to fifty pounds.
