Ensure strong customer service across all aspects of the job. Direct uitdaging of Front End operations in the absence of store leadership to achieve salesود profit goals.
Job DescriptionThe PIC serves as the primary contact for customers and manages the store during periods when the Store Manager and Assistant Managers are not present. The PIC holds full responsibility for store operations and makes decisions to maximize profit, efficiency, and service. The PIC also acts as a Cashier‑Checker and may be required to work across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Provide customer service as defined by the employer.
- Handle emergencies, customer complaints, and accidents.
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures.
- ("Supervises the sales floor to monitor service and replenish products.")
- Replace stock in displays surrounding checkout area.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist other cashiers with computer, register, and scanner problems.
- Perform basic office functions to assist customers and personnel.
- Operate electronic cash register to total customers’ final bill.
- Receive payments, count correct change.
- Bag groceries and assist Ged: carry out, or provide assistance to customers when a Courtesy Clerk is not available.
- Complete close‑of‑day office functions.
- Count out‑of‑stock product.
- Count tills when other cashier‑checkers are absent.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Follow company customer service procedures; prior related experience.
- Customer and coworker interaction skills.
- Follow instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of all store positions.
- Work independently.
- Prior experience as a clerk or manager is desirable.
All store employees during absence of the Store Director or Assistant Store Director.

Six‑wheeled cart, grocery cart, box cutter, pens and pencils, spray bottle, rags, mop, broom, telephone/intercom, cash register, credit card scanner, computer, pallet jack, bailer.
Physical DemandsThe pay range is $17.38 to $26.15 per hour, but no less than local minimum wage. Rates vary by location, experience, qualifications, and any collective bargaining agreement. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, accumulated sick pay, PTO/vacation pay, paid holidays (9 days), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).
