Architectural Salvage Yard Crew Member

Second Use Building Materials, Seattle’s largest architectural salvage yard, is seeking a full time Yard Team Member to work Sunday-Wednesday in our retail store.

Second Use is a community focused business dedicated to diverting reusable building materials from the landfill and selling them to the public at an affordable cost through our retail stores in Seattle and Tacoma.

Our diverse team has helped build Second Use into one of the most successful and innovative salvage companies in the country. We are always looking for creative, versatile individuals to join the cause. Past experience in the trades, re-sale or salvage industries is helpful but not required.

Second Use is looking for a team member to join The Yard Team in our retail store. This position is a fast paced, highly physical role with a focus on managing materials flowing into the store and assisting our customers with questions and loading their purchases.

This role will be scheduled 4 10 hr. shifts, Sunday-Wednesday.

• Provide friendly and professional customer service to our customers and suppliers
• Assist customers with finding and loading materials
• Stock incoming material in the store
• Achieve merchandising goals
• Help maintain correct inventory
• Housekeeping and cleaning tasks
• Possible Crossover work in other parts of the business, such as receiving, salvage team and customer service, to help with overall business needs.

• Self-motivated and reliable worker
• Enthusiasm for a safe work environment
• Willing to put in a full day at 100%
• Able/willing to safely lift 75 lbs throughout the day
• Experience with building materials
• Experience with team collaboration
• Weekend availability (mandatory)
