Parts Specialist

Join O'Reilly Auto Parts as a Parts Specialist and deliver outstanding customer service.

$20.76 – $26.00 hourly. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses and premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi‑5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Greet retail and walk‑in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers.
• Complete all required company training.
• Provide excellent phone service, accurately looking up parts, quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low‑Price Guarantee.
• Maintain cash drawer, manage cash/credit transactions, and process returns and exchanges.
• Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking, fronting, facing, and cleaning.
• Prepare merchandise returns for shipment, assist with stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, and other daily operational tasks.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform in‑store services for customers where state and local laws allow (install wipers, test and charge batteries, scan trouble codes, replace headlight capsules, etc.).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate (must meet company driving eligibility requirements).
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.

Desired:

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and the Weatherly index system.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
