Job Overview
Space Needle, LLC is looking to fill five Food Preparation Worker positions. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position from March 4, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
Worksite: 400 Broad St, Seattle, King County, WA 98109.
Duties- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items.
- Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.
- Load dishes, glasses, and tableware into dishwashing machine.
- Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers and perform other Food Preparation Worker activities per SOC/OES 35-2021.
Monday‑Friday 7:00 AM‑1:00 PM. Offering 40+ hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Scheduled days/hours includes weekends; possible holiday work. Varying schedule depending on union bids. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as dependent on other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites if applicable. Hours may fluctuate based on tourism peaks and valleys throughout the season ±, possible downtime and/or overtime.
Terms& Compensation
Employer will comply with all applicable Federal, State and local employment‑related laws and regulations such as wages, breaks, hours worked, and overtime hours (overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed). If overtime is worked, wage is paid at 1.5× regular rate of pay per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.
Wages: $23.76/Hour up to possible $26.00/Hour. OT $35.64/Hour up to possible $39.00/Hour. Wage may vary based on experience. Wage paid every two weeks. Possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed). Hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week or on the 6th or 7th consecutive day shall be compensated at 1.5 times the straight time rate of pay, provided where the 6th and 7th day of work is due to a change in schedule requested by an employee.
Other deductions may be taken per employee's request.
Inbound and outbound transportation payment or reimbursement will equal the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at the rate required at the time of travel ($16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts). Transportation and subsistence will be reimbursed (by check in the 1st work week).
Requirements- Must be 18 due to state labor laws.
- Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
- Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone.
- Perform physical activities: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must have at least 3 months restaurant experience.
- No minimum education requirement.
- All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified.
- Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment; positive test/refusal to abide equals dismissal.
- Possible background check post hire at employer's expense.
