*** The pay for this role is $22-25 per hour DOE. The shift for this role is Monday – Friday between the hours of ~9:00 AM to ~9:00 PM. Coverage on Saturday or Sunday may be required.

* * are responsible for food production and preparation, and oversee the back-of-house activity, including assisting in management of kitchen operations. You’ll work with an incredible staff dedicated to ensuring a high quality of culinary excellence for our community.
** The responsibilities of our Cook:
*** Ensure compliance with Resident dietary restrictions.
* Conduct regular Quality Assurance Audits.
* Maintaining Kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling practices and ensure compliance with King County and DSHS regulations.
* Maintaining professional relationships with food and equipment venders.
* Hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation of kitchen staff.
* Supervise and assign duties to production and utility personnel
* Create a motivating environment that encourages employee involvement, creativity, and problem solving.
* Assume the responsibilities of the Executive Chef in his absence.
* Other duties as assigned
** What you need to succeed:
*** 1-2 years of experience as a Cook/Chef, preferably in a senior living community.
* Ability to prepare high quality food for our residents,
* Able to work Holidays and pre-planned events.
* Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment venders.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.
* Able to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.
* Successful completion of recognized food safety course.
** Physical Requirements Include:
*** On occasion, you may need to push, pull, lift to 50lbs.
