SummaryThis hands-on laboratory role on the HD Allo Platform team supports gene editing raw materials titration strategy and scale-down model development.
Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently plan, design, and execute primarily small-scale experiments, with support in at-scale experiments across all unit operations-including cell thaw/activation, gene editing, expansion, harvest, depletion, and cryopreservation.
Prepare and maintain cell culture reagents and media, perform routine sampling (e.g., cell counts, metabolic analyses, and relevant assays) with attention to detail.
Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and apply analytical thinking to overcome experimental or technical challenges.
Lead and coordinate complex experiments, collaborating within the core team, and contributing to effective communication with stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
Organize, analyze, and interpret large experimental datasets across multiple studies, utilizing appropriate statistical methods.
Maintain thorough and timely documentation of experimental procedures and results in electronic laboratory notebooks, following best practices.
Prepare presentations and author formal reports to document and communicate experimental progress and findings.
Ensure laboratory equipment and spaces are well-maintained and promote a safe laboratory environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
B.S. in Biology, Biotechnology, regulatory affairs, or related discipline. Additional certifications in analytics or scientific communication are a plus.
2+ years of core lab techniques (cell culture, aseptic processing, or wet lab analysis skills), scientific reporting, and data analysis, ideally with hands‑on industry or academic internship experience.
Experience with gene editing and transduction required.
Previous experience in cell therapy process development and/or manufacturing environments required.
Proficient in applying engineering and statistical principles, including Design of Experiments (DOE), experimental design and data analysis.
Strong organizational, communication (written and oral), technical writing, and presentation skills; motivated to learn and master new skills as needed.
Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally on project deliverables.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends to support cell culture maintenance.
Experience with statistical software such as JMP.
Familiarity with FDA regulatory documentation and submissions not necessary, but a plus.
Seattle - WA: $88,430 - $107,151
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
