Landscape Maintenance & Stewardship Crew Member

Be a caretaker of our urban ecosystem in a Landscape Stewardship & Maintenance role. Tend to the soil and plants while taking care of our customers & their gardens. Landscape Stewardship/Maintenance Technicians perform maintenance duties and care for the plants and landscapes of our customers, both on a recurring basis and one-off cleanup, pruning, or weeding jobs. The goal of all stewardship activities is to improve the health and beauty of our customer s landscapes, and help our customers connect to nature in their own yard.

All of our stewardship & maintenance activities use all-electric tools, and organic practices.

• 3+ years experience.
• Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must always be alert and sober during work.
• Able to follow verbal & written instructions and learn new skills when demonstrated.
• Must be able to work an 8-hour day with a 30-minute lunch break plus two 15-minute breaks.
• English fluency.
• Current US Drivers license & clean driving record.
• Smart phone capable of using time tracking/scheduling app.

• Be on site and ready to work on time each scheduled day.
• Must wear a work uniform each day (sturdy shoes/boots, long pants, and reasonably clean company shirt/sweatshirt).
• Perform scheduled maintenance routes and activities, staying on track and on time for each job.
• Report any concerns and questions to Stewardship Coordinator.
• Respond to client inquiries on-site, and/or direct to Stewardship Coordinator.
• Utilize our company CRM/Job tracking app, and follow our process for using notes and photos for each client.
• Coordinate with the Stewardship Coordinator and General Manager to integrate new processes & protocols as we streamline our operations and practices.

• $22.50-$30/hour, depending on experience.
• Sick leave accrual, 1hr/40hrs worked.
• 40hrs PTO/year.
• 35-40hrs/week, Monday-Thursday ~10hrs each day (occasionally slower in Winter).
• 50% company health insurance coverage offered.

• Employees must show up prepared to work at the scheduled time.
• No smoking or vaping on job sites (May smoke/vape off site during scheduled breaks).
• Employees must be alert and sober during their shifts.
• Employees must communicate with their supervisor if they are going to be late or absent for a scheduled shift.
• Employees will pack a lunch and sufficient water for each workday.
• Always be courteous and friendly to our customers and coworkers.

Rutheo Designs LLC is focused on habitat restoration and edible landscapes in the urban environment. We design and build landscapes from start to finish, including hardscaping, earthen features (berms, rain gardens, swales), and plants, and tend to gardens with an eco-focused approach.
