Our 30-acre landscape at the main campus is unlike what you’ll find at other hospitals or large properties. We have a densely planted, extremely diverse, botanical garden-style landscape with a wide variety of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, and ferns. Our collection comprises over 3,000 plant species, including many rare and uncommon plants, making it an engaging environment in which to work and study.
We also have a variety of spaces, including a children’s play garden, rain gardens, a fully planted roof garden, a wildflower meadow, natural areas, green roofs, beds with mixed perennials and grasses, and numerous trees. The spaces we take care of are appreciated and enjoyed by patients, families, and staff, who may be experiencing very difficult situations, so it can be a truly fulfilling place to work in horticulture.
