Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians to work days in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department in Downtown Seattle, WA.

LVT Pay: $25.60 - $49.15 / hour

$3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!

This location covers the cost of parking downtown and bus passes.

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends, based on a 4-hour minimum.

Examples include:

  • Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 shift differential
  • Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 shift differential
  • Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 shift differential

Blue Pearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital offers an exciting, fast-paced role for Veterinary Technicians to utilize and grow their skills alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
  • Triages emergency cases, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
  • Perform digital radiography with proper technique and positioning.

Additional responsibilities include understanding normal vital sign ranges, interpreting blood pressure and other vital signs, initiating CPR when needed, performing medical calculations, administering medications, and performing phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.

Further duties involve placing feeding tubes and central line catheters, mentoring colleagues, and addressing client concerns with patience and empathy.
