Licensed Veterinary Technician - Neurology

Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician.

LVT I Pay: $25.63 - $36.81 / hour

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

$3,000 Sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculate all medical math, including advanced calculations and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
• Discharge neuro patients, including client education on manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc., and provide nursing care to stable patients.
• Perform callback calls and refill medications.
• Gather histories and communicate with clinicians.
• Perform physical exams, including vital signs and observations.
• Understand normal vital parameters.
• Be comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture.
• Operate all brands of IV fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
• Restrain patients during consults and diagnostics.
• Able to lift 40-50 lbs independently.
