Location & OpportunityUW Medical Center – Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Complex Medical Surgical / Ortho Unit.
Work Schedule- 90‑100% FTE
- Day/Night rotation shifts
6SE is a 28‑bed unit that specializes in acute medical‑surgical care for medicine (not primary cardiac diagnosis) and orthopedic patients with bone cancer diagnoses. The unit has a diverse variety of patient diagnoses outside cardiac care and sees quick patient turnover, with length of stay averaging six days.
Position Highlights- Provide long and short‑term care to medical‑surgical patients
- Work in a dynamic team environment
Job Responsibilities
- Provide acute patient care
- Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with team members
- Follow evidence‑based nursing practices
- Monitor and administer medications and IVs
- One year current / recent med‑surg nursing experience
- Licensed to work as an RN in the State of Washington
Pay Range Minimum: $45.59 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $83.64 hourly
Other Compensation: $10,000 Sign‑On Bonus and $5,000 Relocation Assistance (for eligible new employees) BSN (or higher degree) Premium - $1.00/hour;
Certification (Specialty Certs) Premium - $1.25/hour;
Night Shift Premium - $5.00/hour;
Evening Shift Premium - $3.00/hour;
Weekend Shift Premium - $4.00/hour;
Sunday Night Premium - $3.00/hour;
