Job Title:
Registered Nurse – Cardiology/Cardiothoracic Surgery
Location: University of Washington Medical Center‑Montlake
Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 for eligible full‑time and part‑time new employees.
Compensation: Pay Range Minimum: $49.23 hourly;
Pay Range Maximum: $90.33 hourly. Additional compensation includes $5,000 Relocation Assistance (eligible), premium for BSN, specialty certification, shift premiums.
Work Schedule: 90% FTE, variable shifts (first shift, night, evening, weekend). Regular position.
Unit
Description:
30‑bed cardiac cardiothoracic surgery unit. Care for patients post‑CABG, valve replacement/re‑pair, heart transplant, lung transplant, lung resection, pacemakers, LVADs, general cardiology concerns, and post‑arrhythmia procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
- Assume staff assignments and preceptor responsibilities.
- Provide leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience, and/or leadership experience.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Washington state.
- Current or recent cardiology nursing experience.
- ACLS certification preferred.
