**** WORK SCHEDULE
*** 90% FTE, Days (36 hours per week)
** DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
** The Census and Staffing Office at Harborview Medical Center coordinates the safe, therapeutic allocation of nursing resources to patients/families.
** POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
** The Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) works closely with the Nurse Manager; the Nursing Supervisors; the Patient Placement RNs of the Census and Staffing Dept., and additional team members, and assists with managing overall dept. operations.
** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
** Assists in the management of overall Census and Staffing Dept. operations.

Assesses patient care needs across units/departments and determines required staffing levels in collaboration with team members.

Assists staffing office team members as needed in making assignments efficiently, according to policy, with consideration of patient need, skill level of personnel and cost containment and available resources.

With an understanding of general clinical condition of patients on units/departments, utilizes information to make appropriate changes in resources as indicated.

Reprioritizes and re-assesses resources need continuously throughout the shift and gathers timely, appropriate information to guide decisions. Makes decisions regarding distribution of resources after evaluation of unit needs, patient acuity, patient flow and staff readiness.

Assists in the management of problem solving to maintain safe, acceptable quality of patient care.

Communicates pertinent information to appropriate individuals consistently and in a timely manner.# Consistently demonstrates and promotes effective staffing strategies.#
** REQUIREMENTS
* * BSN degree, current WA State RN License, and minimum two years professional acute care or critical care nursing work experience.

Leadership experience desirable.

** Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
**** Pay Range Minimum:**$49.23 hourly
** Pay Range Maximum:**$91.22 hourly
** Other Compensation:**$1/hour BSN…
