Outpatient Cardiology Clinic - Position Type:
Locum tenens (Travel/Contract), temp-to-perm expected - Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM - Shift: 8-hour day shifts

Hours:
40 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2060–$2200
- Start Date:
September 22, 2025 - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (through December 22, 2025)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Orientation: 40 hours on-site with MD
- Active Washington RN license or Compact Registered Nurse license
- At least 1 year of inpatient cardiac nursing experience required
- 2+ years of RN experience preferred
- Strong background in cardiology nursing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience with EPIC or similar electronic charting systems
- Ability to float between cardiac care units as needed
- Excellent patient teaching and follow-up care skills
- Local Seattle RN candidates within 50 miles preferred; willingness to convert to permanent placement required
- Deliver nursing care to adult and geriatric cardiac patients, including LVAD and advanced cardiac support clinic patients
- Support specialized cardiology clinics:
Electrophysiology (EP), Afib (SCAN), Hypertension (HTN), General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Structural Heart - Monitor and manage cardiac devices (LVAD, Cardio
MEMS, cardiac monitors, EKGs) - Interpret lab results, perform medication reconciliation, and manage patient health questionnaires/history
- Conduct vital sign assessments, dressing changes, and aseptic/sterile procedures
- Perform specimen collection (capillary, throat, urine, venipuncture/phlebotomy)
- Handle telephone triage, follow-up calls, and pharmacy/patient refill requests
- Educate patients and families on cardiac procedures, testing, and ongoing care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
