Verovian Healthcare Recruitment Agency is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team in Seattle, Washington.

As a CVOR Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries. Your expertise in surgical nursing and cardiovascular procedures will be vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.

• Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures, including preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and functional, and assisting surgeons as needed.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including pre-operative assessments, administering medications, and providing emotional support.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and manage any complications that arise during surgery to ensure patient stability and safety.
• Provide immediate post-operative care in the recovery room, including monitoring patient recovery, managing pain, and ensuring smooth transitions to the ICU or step-down units.
• Work closely with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and other OR staff to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Accurately document all aspects of surgical care, including patient assessments, interventions, and surgical outcomes, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols to prevent surgical site infections and ensure patient safety.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, with a focus on cardiovascular surgeries preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) certification is preferred.
• National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics certification required upon hire.
• Strong clinical skills in surgical nursing, particularly in cardiovascular procedures, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
